We’ll find the businessyou want to buy.
Off-market acquisition sourcing. Most good businesses never reach the open market — they sell quietly, to someone who asked. We run a dedicated, confidential search on your mandate alone, in almost any sector, and approach the owners directly. Every search is scoped and quoted per job.
How a campaign runs
- 01Tell us your mandate
- 02We run a dedicated outreach campaign
- 03Warm responses go into your Deal Room
- 04Marcus runs the negotiation
Scope, volume and geography are agreed and written down before anything is sent.
Sectors we search
Bring us the brief. We’ll find the owners.
We take on bespoke searches across a wide range of sectors. If the owners can be identified and reached, we can usually build a campaign around them — and we will tell you honestly if we can’t.
- Accountancy practices
- B2B & commercial services
- Engineering & manufacturing
- Healthcare
- IT & managed services
- Logistics & distribution
- Wealth management & IFAs
- Your sector — just ask

Why accountancy practices suit this approach.
Recurring
Revenue that stays put
Fees are recurring and clients rarely switch accountants. Acquired income behaves like acquired income, not like a pipeline you have to rebuild.
Age 56
An ageing owner base
The average UK business seller is 56, and a large share of practice owners have no succession plan in place. The pressure to do something is real; the route out often is not obvious to them.
1x – 1.5x
Where the market sits
Smaller practices — roughly £1m to £8m of fee income — have been changing hands at around 1x to 1.5x annual recurring fees. Market context only: it is not a valuation, and it is not a promise of price on any specific practice.
Generic marketplaces surface the practices that decided to sell publicly. That is a fraction of the market, and it is the fraction every other buyer is looking at.
How it works
Four steps, start to signed MOU.
- 01
Tell us your mandate
Sector, size, geography, and the structure you would accept — asset purchase, share purchase, merger, or a phased buy-in. We scope it and quote it.
- 02
We run a dedicated outreach campaign
Direct approaches to owners and directors of UK businesses that match your criteria. Your campaign only, not a shared sending queue.
- 03
Warm responses go into your Deal Room
Interested owners land in your Deal Room under NDA — not in the general listings, and not in front of another buyer.
- 04
Marcus runs the negotiation
The AI Deal Broker works the term ledger with both sides, closing the gaps one term at a time, through to a signed MOU.
What’s included
Ring-fenced to one mandate — yours.
- A dedicated campaign — your mandate has its own sending estate, not a slot in a shared queue
- Defined volume and geography scope, agreed and written down before anything is sent
- Progress visibility throughout: contacts made, responses received, conversations live
- Full Deal Room access for any mandate the campaign produces
Scope and pricing
Every mandate is scoped and quoted individually.
There is no flat price, because there is no flat campaign. Volume, geography and how hard the targets are to reach all move the work. Tell us the mandate and we will come back with a scope and a number.
The campaign fee covers sourcing only. Our standard success fee — paid by the seller on completion — is unchanged and unaffected by this campaign.
Questions
Before you ask us.
How is this different from Premium buyer membership?
Premium (£299 a month) gives you full matching across everything on the platform, plus a two-day early-access window on new listings. It is a better seat at the same table. A bespoke campaign is a different thing entirely: we go out and approach business owners who are not on the platform and never intended to be, on your mandate alone. It is dedicated outreach, not a queue position — and it sits alongside Premium rather than replacing it.
Which sectors can you search?
Most. Accountancy practices are a sector we know particularly well, but we run searches across B2B and commercial services, engineering and manufacturing, healthcare, IT and managed service providers, logistics, wealth management, and more. If the owners can be identified and reached, we can usually build a campaign around them. Tell us the brief and we will tell you honestly whether it is workable.
How much does a campaign cost?
Every search is quoted per job. The price depends on the sector, the size of business you are after, the geography, and how many owners fit the brief. You tell us the mandate, and we come back with a written scope and a fixed quote before anything starts.
How long does a campaign take to surface a match?
First responses usually arrive within the opening weeks of outreach; a conversation that turns into a real deal typically takes longer, because succession decisions are slow by nature. We agree the volume and geography scope up front and you can see progress — contacts made, responses, live conversations — the whole way through, so you are never guessing.
What happens once you find a match?
A warm response goes straight into your Deal Room, not into the general listings. From there it runs the same way as any deal on the platform: NDA, tiered document access, term ledger, and Marcus — the AI Deal Broker — working both sides towards a signed MOU.
Is my mandate confidential from other buyers?
Yes. A bespoke campaign is ring-fenced to you. Your mandate is not shown to other buyers, and the responses it generates are not recycled into general listings or shared with anyone else on the platform.
Does the campaign change the success fee?
No. The campaign fee covers the sourcing work. Our standard success fee is paid by the seller on completion, exactly as on any other deal — the campaign does not change the fee structure. If a buyer wants to offer to share or absorb part of it, that is a term to negotiate in the Deal Room, never a platform default.
